Early life
Fungisai was born in Harare, Zimbabwe, on January 27, 1981. Fungisai began playing music when he was a little child. When she was a student at Mutoko High School, a secondary school, she founded a group called the Heaven Bound Family. After school, the group disbanded as everyone went their separate ways to live their lives. She claimed that Shuvai Wutawunashe had inspired her as a young girl.
Music Career
According to Fungisai, she has always wanted to be a musician. When one of Elias Musakwa’s backing vocalists had to cancel due to illness in 2000, she helped out with his gospel performance. She gave Musakwa her demo, which had a few songs, after that performance. A few weeks later, she got a call to record her debut album, Tinokutendai Ishe.
So far, she has shared the stage with musicians such as Jah Prayzah, Killer T, Mudiwa Hood, and others.

Reality Show by Fungisai
In September 2020, Fungisai’s reality show Keeping Up with the Church Person debuted for the first time. The focus of the show was on unplanned events in the singer’s personal and professional life. Every Sunday for a period of two months, the show was broadcast on Facebook.
