Early life
On May 14, 1981, Dorcas was born in Goromonzi. She has two boys and four daughters in her household. She is married to Frank Moyo, and the two of them together have six children. According to her, her father was a strict disciplinarian who “would not take any prisoners home for a slight misdemeanor.”
She claims that she has always loved music, and at the age of six she started taking part in church praise and worship services. She expressed her admiration for Michael Mahendere, Sinach, Tasha Cobbs, and Shingisai Suluma.
Educational background
In 2021, Dorcas, a nutritionist, was in charge of the food at a Mutare dialysis facility. She was raised in Goromonzi and after graduating from Goromonzi Primary School, she went on to Chinyika Secondary School.

She joined the praise and worship team of her church when she was six years old, making her the team’s youngest member at the time. The eight albums by Dorcas are Ndinokutungamirira, Ndokusheedzai Jesu, Zvininipise, Ndibatsirei Mwari, Pamarah Tapfuura, Bvisai Marara, Bvudzi Rangu Ramera, and Mhanza Haisekwe.
Her career has more than 14 singles, including Wakabuda Sei, Anomira Nesu, Munyaradzi, Zvamakatirongera, and Muri Mutsvene.
The Heavenly Melodies Family is Dorcas’s support system, and Peter Madondo is in charge of her. Her music is produced by Olin Anderson of Kunashe Studios.
