Bugatti has been making one-of-a-kind and custom-made cars for its ultra-wealthy clients for more than 100 years.

The average Bugatti buyer owns roughly 42 vehicles, five homes, three private jets, three helicopters and a yacht, according to Bugatti.

In 2019, the Sweptail was in turn overtaken as the world's most expensive new car by the Bugatti La Voiture Noire which sold for $18.7 million.

Developed over the course of four years, the Sweptail is likely a sign of things to come as Rolls-Royce is already analyzing the prospects of doing more special “1 of 1” projects.

It still features the same 6.75-liter twin-turbo W-12 engine that produces 453 horsepower and 531 pound-feet of torque, enough to give the $13 million ride the ability to accelerate to 60 mph in just 5.6 seconds before maxing out at a top speed of 150 mph.

Bugatti Centodieci $8.9 million

The Bugatti Centodieci is the French automaker's most powerful supercar yet — coming in a skosh above the Chiron at 1,600 horsepower. But it's not just the power — or the $8.9 million price tag — that makes the Centodieci stand out.

Only 10 units of the Centodieci will be produced and they are already sold. The Centodieci will be hand-built in Bugatti's Molsheim factory and deliveries to customers will start in 2021

The 8.0-liter W16 engine produces 1,600 horsepower and can accelerate from 0 to 62 miles per hour in 2.4 seconds. The top speed has been electronically limited to 236 mph.

How fast is the Bugatti Centodieci?

The Centodieci uses Bugatti's 1,600-horsepower (1,176-kilowatt) W16 engine, which rockets the hypercar to 62 miles per hour (100 kilometers per hour) in 2.4 seconds with a top speed of 236 mph (380 kph).

Mercedes-Benz Maybach Exelero $8 million

Mercedes-Maybach stands for the ultimate in exclusivity and individuality

Top speed is listed at 218 miles per hour (350 kilometers per hour) and adjusted for inflation, the Exelero would cost more than $10 million in today's money.

While its predecessors, the Veyron and the Chiron managed a top speed of 400+ kmph, the Divo is capable of 380 kmph.

Horsepower

Under the Divo's hood lurks the same quad-turbo, 8.0-liter, W-16 engine from the Chiron. Bugatti made no changes to the engine, so it delivers the same 1,479 horsepower and 1,180 pound-feet of torque.

Pagani Huayra Imola $ 5.4 million
