Releasing African Queen
The Limpopo based artist released her album African Queen in September this year. The album was well-received not only in South African but on the African continent.
Makhadzi put in an electric performance in Malawi as fans sang along most of the songs she performed at the concert.
Makhadzi left fans wanting more in the neighbouring country with one of the best performances she has ever made in in career.
Not only has Makhadzi been recognized by the UK magazine, but the African Queen is also due to perform in Nigeria for the All African Music Awards. She will share the stage with Africa’s greatest artists: Burna Boy, Black Coffee, and Wizkid.
Signing R120 million deal
The signer signed an R120 million deal with sports shoemaker Kicks in one of the best money moves. The deal will see Kicks manufacture and market sportswear branded Kokovha, the name of her previous album. Makhadzi believes naming her album Kokovha was a genius moment as it has opened doors for her. She also said naming her last album African Queen opened doors for her in Africa.
She is collaborating on a new single with her ex-boyfriend and DJ Master KG to become the song of the year.
