Nkunzi from Uzalo is a blessing with his voice on new music. If you didn’t know, Masoja Msiza is a poet and a musician.
Masoja released the news of a single he will be releasing on March 15 on his Instagram page.
The single is called Kuzodlula. Masoja is a featured artist in the song, and he will be featured by Thami Shabalala, a member of the Grammy award-winning Scathamiya group Ladysmith Black Mambazo.
Masoja has extra hidden talents; apart from giving us the best portrayal of Nkunzebomvu Mhlongo on the most popular soapie Uzalo, he has been in big theatre productions and has released music of his own.
You should also know that the collaboration between Masoja and Thami Tshabalala has happened before.
These two have released a song called Mama together, a Masoja Msiza song featuring Thami this time around.
The album these two are working on is called The Spoken word with music. Masoja adds his value of poetic touch to the music.
Masoja was born in Kwa Thema in the East Rand in 1964 and has been bitten by the entertainment bug since he was nine years old.
Msiza has released a string of music that can be streamed. The songs are a mixture of beautiful melodies that Masoja speaks a word over. The songs are inspirational, and Masojas deep voice brings much authenticity to his music.
The song Kuzodlula is no different; it is a kind of a Gospel song that gives people hope about their problems, saying they will also pass.
Msiza sounds like God himself is speaking through him on the song. There is a calmness to his spoken word. You have to listen to it for yourself to understand.
It’s not surprising that Masoja delivers so much in everything he has done; his training ground dates back to Gibson Kente, one of the most influential playwrights in South Africa. Masoja played in one of his plays called Mfowethu.
The music is available to preorder from 15 March 2022.
